Lake Air Quality Program works to protect and improve the air quality of the Red Lake Nation through both indoor and
outdoor air projects.

Elderly Maintenance Program

The Elderly Maintenance Program offers a variety of services to Tribally enrolled elders and disabled Tribal members. 


 Services Provided
  • Snow plowing
  • Grass cutting
  • Electrical problems
  • Plumbing issues
  • Minor carpentry (porches/ramps)
  • Grab bars for the disabled
  • Fix windows/doors
  • Replacement, if needed:
    • Water heaters
    • Sump pumps
    • Pressure tanks

Eligibility Guidelines
Elderly Persons:
Elderly Persons must meet all of the following guidelines in order to receive services from the Elderly Maintenance Program:
  1. Be an enrolled member of the Red Lake Band;
  2. Be at least 60 years of age;
  3. Reside in the unit to be serviced;
  4. Be a year-round resident within the boundaries of the Red Lake Reservation;
  5. Reside in your own unit, not a Housing Authority unit; and 
  6. Must not request remodeling work of any kind.
Disabled Persons:
The age requirement will be waived for disabled individuals.  Current documentation from a doctor is Required to receive services through this program and must indicate that the individual is permanently disabled.  However, note that all other eligibility requirements must be met to receive services from the Elderly Maintenance Program.
