Environmental Action for Children's Health - Asthma

Red Lake and the American Lung Association in Minnesota are partnering on a project to improve the homes of families that have children with asthma (diagnosed by a physician).  This project reduces the home’s indoor allergens to limit the child’s asthma symptoms. Red Lake Schools & Indoor Air Quality

The Red Lake School District:

• Will follow the EPA guidance to improve indoor air quality (IAQ) by preventing IAQ problems when possible and by responding quickly to problems that may arise.  The District will also inform parents/guardians if certain pesticides are applied on school property (see article: 2011-2011 Red Lake Schools Indoor Air Quality Notification, 8/16/11).
• Has completed its 3-year re-inspection required by the Asbostos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) (see article: 2011-12 Red Lake Schools Yearly Notification for the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA), 8/16/11).
• Is proud to continue providing a positive environment for educating students.
